Gathering Places
Portland offers some attractive public places. Walk, jog, rollerblade or
bike along the Riverwalk which runs from behind the American Heritage
Inn to the public high school, and along the banks of the town’s two
rivers. The Grand River and the Lookingglass River intersect in the
heart of Portland. You can also play softball in one of the city’s
recreation leagues at Powers Park just across the bridge from downtown.
Attend St. Patrick’s Parish annual “Summer Circus” for games,
carnival rides and summer fun during June. There are many things to do
in Portland!
